Even with the most stringent space limitations (such as Hotmail's 2MB) this will allow you to have several days of mail in your email box. Most corporate space limitations are about 40MB, allowing for plenty of space. If email is returned to Paperlessmail.com, we wait a day and try again repeatedly until we are successful. Nevertheless, it is important to save important mail to your hard disk or purge mail you don't want to save as soon as possible. |

Don't share your password with anyone. Paperlessmail.com will never ask for your email password. Do not be duped by malicious e-mails asking you for your password. This is a well-known, although not-too-common trick designed to fool you into sharing your password. As a rule, never share it with anyone.
Make sure that you are using the most up-to-date Internet software (e.g. browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator). More recent versions often offer additional security protection.
Always use a secure network. Most corporate networks and Internet service providers including Hotmail and Yahoo! are protected by administrators who watch for potential security problems and act to protect users from "hackers" (malicious users) who may try to steal personal information that is transferred through the network. What if someone sends a parcel or other unscannable mail to my Online Mailbox address? When we receive non-scannable mail we scan the outside of the mailpiece and send it to the recipient with a note that we were not able to scan it. This part of the service is included with your account. From that point onwards it is treated just like all the other scannable mail. The customer may do nothing and it will be discarded in 90 days or request that it is forwarded to a different address. We charge $4.95 to cover our costs for retrieval and preparation. The actual cost of delivery (either FedEx ground or FedEx express) is also charged. The customer can manage all of this from their online document repository. |
